Corporate Publications

Archives publishes a number of annual corporate publications:

• Annual report: A presentation of Archives New Zealand financial statements as well as goals, outcomes, management structure and an overview by the Chief Executive.
• Statement of Intent: A presentation of statements of forecast financial performance, outcomes and what Archives New Zealand needs to do to be successful.

Newsletters

Outreach/Kia Whakakautoro: The newsletter of Archives New Zealand which is published four times per year.

Research Publications

Archives publishes a series of guides for researchers called Reference Guides. These are descriptions of the various types of the records held at Archives and are based on research themes such as Citizenship.

Directory of Archives in New Zealand

The Directory of Archives in New Zealand / Nga Pae Mahara lists nearly 200 repositories around New Zealand, providing contact details and an outline of the archival material they hold. Repositories listed include museums, public libraries, historical societies, government departments, schools and private research facilities, among others. Printed copies of the directory are available from your nearest Archives New Zealand office or through directory@archives.govt.nz. We would also welcome any new entries, updates or corrections for future editions.
